DELETE ACCOUNT & DATA

Learn how you can request the deletion of your account and all associated pet data from DearFur.

Option 1: Delete Directly in the Mobile App (Instant)

The quickest way to delete your account is directly inside DearFur:

  1. Open the DearFur app on your device.
  2. Go to Settings > Account Settings.
  3. Tap Delete Account.
  4. Type CONFIRM and tap Schedule Account Deletion.

Notice: Your account will be deactivated immediately and scheduled for permanent deletion.

Option 2: Request Deletion via Web or Email

If you have already uninstalled the app or cannot access your device, you can request manual deletion:

  • Send an email from your registered DearFur email address to support@dearfur.app with the subject line 'Account Deletion Request'.
  • Our team will verify your identity and initiate the 30-day soft-deletion process within 48 hours.

What Happens to Your Data (30-Day Grace Period)

    Immediate Deactivation: Your pet profiles and timeline memories are instantly hidden.
  • •
    30-Day Recovery Window: If you change your mind, simply log back into the mobile app within 30 days to cancel the request and restore your data.
  • •
    Permanent Purge: After 30 days, your account credentials, pet profiles, timeline entries, and all uploaded photos in cloud storage are permanently erased and cannot be recovered.

Important: Managing Active Subscriptions

Deleting your DearFur account does NOT automatically cancel recurring subscriptions managed through Apple App Store or Google Play Store. You must cancel active billing directly in your device subscription settings to avoid future charges.
